- Strategic Advisory & Messaging: Served as the key communications and publicity advisor to the Ambassador, developing and implementing strategies to promote Somalia’s interests in Türkiye. This included formulating comprehensive digital and communications strategies that significantly improved messaging output and led to substantial platform growth.
- Digital Presence & Content Creation: Managed the Embassy’s digital footprint, creating and publishing timely content on official social and digital channels during bilateral meetings and key events. This proactive approach ensured a consistent and engaging online presence, effectively communicating the Embassy’s activities and priorities.
- Media Relations & Engagement: Established and maintained strong relationships with Turkish and global media outlets, monitoring media coverage and proactively pitching news stories to enhance Somalia’s visibility. This involved coordinating media events and providing expert translation and language support.
- Website Management & Content Development: Co-designed and managed the Embassy website (ankara.mfa.gov.so), ensuring it served as a dynamic and informative platform for Somali-Turkish relations. This involved regular content updates and strategic enhancements to improve user experience.
- Diplomatic Event Coordination: Coordinated comprehensive media coverage for official Somali-Turkish bilateral visits and handled communication logistics for visiting Somali government officials. This involved meticulous planning and execution to ensure seamless communication and positive media representation.
- Research & Information Dissemination: Conducted in-depth research on Somali-Turkish relations, history, and events, disseminating key information to enhance understanding and foster stronger ties.
